Abbie Cronin provides divorce mediation, individual, couples, family and child psychotherapy. Her specialty is helping families deal with changes that result from divorce or trauma.
Her goals in divorce mediation include facilitating open, clear communication between parties; helping conflicted couples negotiate equitable settlement with each other; clarifying emotional, financial, and social needs; pre- and post-divorce counseling; and managing parenting strategies throughout the divorce process.
Ms. Cronin's experience in trauma management includes assisting families dealing with the aftermath of death, sexual abuse, terrorism, natural disaster, active duty deployment, and other types of crisis. In her capacity as manager of an Employee Assistance Program, Ms. Cronin provided clinical supervison to trauma counselors, and is a well-known consultant in the field. She has conducted critical stress debriefing with children, mental health workers, police officers and firefighters, and soldiers returning from combat.
